I would say the lines a character speaks. I say that because if someone talks about motivation it would be in their lines.
She wouldnt feel comfortable knowing that her research would lead to so many deaths. The last thing that she was expecting for, coming out of her, was something that causes conflicts in the world and ends with so many lives. So for me she would feel bad and guilty.
