(DE)^{2} =(EF)^{2} +(DF)^{2}

EF=\sqrt{DE^{2}-DF^{2}  }

=\sqrt{(24)^{2} -(12)^{2} }--1

=\sqrt{576-144}

=\sqrt{432}
