I decided to take notes on the most important themes exposed by Douglass. These themes were discovered by reading chapter 6 and by interpreting why Douglass decided to include these moments of his life in his narrative.
The first theme that I noticed is that slavery was widespread and prejudicial to everyone, even for the arms. Slavery placed cruelty in the hearts of white people and made them lose their kindness and kindness by becoming cruel and unworthy.
