My kitchen clock is working properly but was showing 14:02, which I know is the wrong time, when I left to walk to my friend’s h

ouse for coffee. My friend’s clock, which is correct, was showing 14:25 when I arrived and 15:08 when I left. I walked home at the same speed as when I went, and when I arrived home my clock was showing 15:56. I then adjusted my clock to the correct time.
How many minutes and which direction did I have to adjust my clock?

Where v is the final velocity (in m/s), u is the initial velocity (in m/s), a is the acceleration (in m/s²) and s is the distanc
Anna11 [10]

Answer:

The final velocity v is 21.74 m/s.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

\textrm{initial velocity} = u = 9\ m/s\\\textrm{acceleration} = a = 7\ m/s^{2}\\\textrm{distance} = s = 28\ m

To find:

\textrm{final velocity} = v = ?

Solution:

As we know the third equation of motion is represented as

v^{2} = u^{2} + 2\times a\times s\\

Substituting the values u, a and s in the above equation we get

v^{2} = 9^{2} + 2\times 7\times 28\\ =81 + 392\\=473\\

v =\±\sqrt{473} \\v =\sqrt{473} \ \textrm{as acceleration is positive v is also positive}\\v = 21.74\ m/s

Mr. Wilson is giving his students a vocabulary test tomorrow over all the terms they have learned from this semester. Today, he

The population in the above situation is the total number of students under Mr. Wilson.

A sample is a part of the population that may best represent the population. There is no sample  in the above situation because Mr. Wilson made all students pick 5 note cards. He will be able to determine the performance of each student based on their performance in picking 5 note cards and defining the terms in each card.

Ebert used to make $22 an hour, but got a 10% raise. How much more will he make in a 40 hour work week with the raise?
Helen [10]

Answer: $88.00 per week

Step-by-step explanation: 10% of 22 is 2.2.  22 + 2.2 = 24.20 per hour

Multiply 24.20x40hours = 968.00

Multiply 22.00x40 hours =880.00

Subtract 968-880=88.00 his new weekly pay minus his old weekly pay

The equation that is represented by the graph below is y = e^x - 4.

<h3>How to illustrate the graph?</h3>

From the graph, it can be seen that the only exponential function n to hat intercept the function at equal to 3 is y = e^x - 4.

Let's equate y to 0.

y = e^x - 4.

e^x - 4 = 0

e^x = 4

In(e^x) = In(4)

x = 1.386

The x intercept is located at (1.386, 0).

In conclusion, the correct option is D.

The edges of the diameter of a circle are at (-1,2) and (3,-1). Write the equation of the circle in general form.
Y_Kistochka [10]

Answer:

(x-1)²+ (y-0.5)²=6.25

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>The standard form of equation of a circle is;</u>

(x-a)²+(y-b)²=r² where (a,b) are the center of the circle and r is the radius

<u>Finding the mid-point of the given points</u>

(-1,2) and (3,-1)⇒midpoint will be 1/2(x₁+x₂) , 1/2(y₁+y₂)

midpoint= {1/2(-1+3), 1/2(2+-1)}

midpoint=(1,0.5)

<u>Finding the radius r; the distance from the center to either of the given two points</u>

Apply the distance formula d=√ (x₂-x₁)² +(y₂-y₁)²

Taking (x₁,y₁) as (1,0.5) and (x₂,y₂) as (-1,2) then

d=√ (-1-1)² +(2-0.5)²

d= √ (-2)²+(1.5)²

d=√4+2.25⇒√6.25⇒2.5

r=2.5

<u>Equation of the circle</u>

(x-1)² + (y-0.5)²=2.5²

(x-1)²+ (y-0.5)²=6.25
