Answer:

Decimal: 0.0075

Fraction: 3/400

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>For the decimal:</u>

Notice how it says \frac{3}{4}%. That's equivalent to 0.75% which is NOT the same as 75%.

To get the decimal, I just did this: 0.75/100. In the end, that's 0.0075.

<u>For the fraction:</u>

<u />

I just converted the decimal into a fraction. First, I removed the decimal by doing this:

\frac{0.0075}{1} * \frac{10000}{10000} = \frac{75}{10000}

I had to simplify the fraction and I got \frac{3}{400}. I did this by dividing \frac{75}{10000} by \frac{25}{25}.

<em>I really hope this helped!!</em>

Evaluate the integral ∫2−1|x−1|dx
defon

I think you might be referring to the definite integral,

\displaystyle \int_{-1}^2|x-1|\,\mathrm dx

Recall the definition of absolute value:

|x| = \begin{cases}x&\text{if }x\ge0\\-x&\text{if }x

Then |x-1|=x-1 if x\ge1, and |x-1|=1-x is x. So spliting up the integral at <em>x</em> = 1, we have

\displaystyle \int_{-1}^2|x-1|\,\mathrm dx = \int_{-1}^1(1-x)\,\mathrm dx + \int_1^2(x-1)\,\mathrm dx

The rest is simple:

\displaystyle \int_{-1}^2|x-1|\,\mathrm dx = \left(x-\dfrac{x^2}2\right)\bigg|_{-1}^1 + \left(\dfrac{x^2}2-x\right)\bigg|_1^2 \\\\ = \left(\left(1-\frac12\right)-\left(-1-\frac12\right)\right) + \left(\left(2-2\right)-\left(\frac12-1\right)\right) \\\\ = \boxed{\frac52}

If 1116 parts were made in 7 hours how much parts were made an hour
vampirchik [111]
Hello! To solve this question, all you have to do is divide the total amount of parts made by the number of hours. 1116/7 is 159.42857 and other numbers, or 159 when rounded to the nearest whole number. There were about 159 parts made an hour.
