False. Your body contains trillions of cells but they don'y all carry out the same function. You need different cells for different functions otherwise we probably wouldn't be alive. LOL

Answer:

The correct answer will be option-false.

Explanation:

A cell is the structural and functional unit of an organism programmed to perform the different function of the organism.

The different parts of the body are made up of cells with the same structures called organelles but it is not necessary that the organs of the body will perform the same function. The case of heart cell and the muscle cell although contain the same organelle but perform different functions in the body.

Thus, false is the correct answer.

Which muscles assist in inhalation when running up the stairs? A) sternocleidomastoid, pectoralis major, scalenes B) sternocleid
Ulleksa [173]

Answer:

Sternocleidomastoid, pectoralis minor, scalenes

Explanation:

During normal inhalation, contraction of the diaphragm and the contraction of external intercostals expands the chest cavity. The increased volume of the thoracic cavity results in reduced alveolar pressure than the atmospheric pressure to facilitate the flow of air into the lungs in response to the pressure gradient.

During deep inhalation as it occurs when running up the stairs, the accessory muscles of inhalation also participate to increase the volume of the chest cavity. The contraction of scalene and sternocleidomastoid muscles increase the volume of the chest cavity further to create a greater drop in alveolar pressure.

During forceful inhalation, the sternocleidomastoid muscles serve to elevate the sternum, the scalene muscles serve to elevate the first two ribs while the pectoralis minor elevate the third through fifth ribs.

How do scientists uncover evironmental problems
aleksandrvk [35]

Answer:

Science has a central role in shaping what count as environmental problems. This has been evident most recently in the success of planetary science and environmental activism in stimulating awareness and discussion of global environmental problems. We advance three propositions about the special relationship between environmental science and politics: (1) in the formulation of science, not just in its application, certain courses of action are facilitated over others; (2) in global environmental discourse, moral and technocratic views of social action have been privileged; and (3) global environmental change, as science and movement ideology, is vulnerable to deconstructive pressures. These stem from different nations and differentiated social groups within nations having different interests in causing and alleviating environmental problems. We develop these propositions through a reconstruction of The Limits to Growth study of the early 1970s, make extensions to current studies of the human/social impacts of climate change, and review current sources of opposition to global and political formulations of environmental issues.

Which statement best describes ecological succession?
Delicious77 [7]

The correct answer is it always occurs in a predictable pattern.

Ecological successsion is defined as a <em>change in the structure of species of an ecological community over a period of tim</em>e. The succession that begins in a new environment by uninfluence of pre-existing species is called primary succession. The disruption of pre-existing community because of succession is called secondary succession. Ecological succession happens in a predictable pattern. The ecological communities undergoes predictable change which creates a disturbance or initial formation of new habitat. This changes occurs in an orderly manner and can be best explained by the example of trees how they grow bigger and bigger.
