Answer:
The Outer Banks are a chain of barrier islands that skirt the coast of North Carolina from the Virginia border to Cape Lookout through Currituck, Dare, Hyde, and Carteret Counties. More than 175 miles long, they are separated as much as 30 miles from the mainland by a series of shallow sounds. Pamlico Sound, the largest sound on the East Coast of the United States (and some say the world's largest), is 80 miles long and 15 to 30 miles wide. It is separated from the Atlantic Ocean by a part of the Outer Banks and drains into the Atlantic Ocean through Hatteras and Ocracoke Inlets. Albemarle Sound, the second largest (some 50 miles long and 5 to 14 miles wide), was named after George Monck, duke of Albemarle, one of the Lords Proprietors of the Carolina colony. The state's first permanent settlements were made along its northern shore. Other North Carolina sounds include Core Sound, Croatan Sound, Currituck Sound, and Roanoke Sound.

Answer:
B. The 55 N cat has less mass than the 110 N dog.
Explanation:
Given;
weight of the cat, W₁ = 55 N
Weight of the dog, W₂ = 110 N
distance between the cat and the dog, d = 2 m
The acceleration due to gravity (g) acting on both animals is the same irrespective of their different positions.
g = 9.8 m/s²
Force of gravity, F = W = mg
where;
m is the mass of the animals
The mass of the cat = m₁ = W₁/g
m₁ = 55/9.8 = 5.6 kg
The mass of the dog = m₂ = W₂/g
m₂ = 110/9.8 = 11.22 kg
Therefore, it can be seen that the mass of the cat is less than the mass of the dog.
Adams and Jefferson represented two different visions of what the United States of America should look like. Whereas Adams and his fellow Federalists, including George Washington, envisioned a strong central government and a thriving manufacturing sector centered in the cities, Jefferson and the Democratic-Republicans espoused an agrarian ideal, rooted in the republican virtues of the independent small farmer. The election of 1800 was fiercely contested and facilitated the rise of the two-party system and bitter partisanship.
Upon entering office, Jefferson focused on reducing the national debt he had inherited from his predecessors. His administration lowered excise taxes while slashing government spending. Additionally, the Jefferson administration reduced the size of the Navy, ultimately bringing the national debt down from $83 to $57 million. Foreign developments, however, including the intensification of piracy along the Barbary Coast, would necessitate the rebuilding of the Navy and its establishment as a permanent part of the US government.

Explanation:
First wanted to say politics/wanting to know about politics is not one of my strong points by any means but that does not mean I don't pa attention when am present and the subject has been brought to the attention of others around me!
The Legislative Process is described simply by following multiple steps in order to get a bill passed through the congress! As most everyone knows in order to get a bill passed it must go through multiple different steps/individuals in order to do so, it's not what we would like to be considered an easy process by any means, no its actually quit the opposite!
First: In order to get the bill up and going if there is a chance it will be passed/ if at all is you must keep in mind that first a Representative sponsors the bill.
Second: the bill in hand is then assigned to a committee in order to be examined/studied!
Third: If the bill is chosen to be released by the committee, the bill is put on a calendar to be voted on, debated or amended.
Fourth: If bill is passed by simple majority the bill moves to the Senate.
Fifth: Once the Senate gets a a hold of the bill the bill is then assigned to another committee and if released debated and voted on.
Sixth: If the Senate chooses to make additional changes the bull must return to the House of concurrence.
Seventh: After additional changes or any changes for that matter have been made, the resulting bill then returns to the House and Senate for a final approval.
Eighth: Finally once bill is returned back to the House and Senate has had their chance to either approve or disapprove of it, the President then has 10 days to either veto the final bill or choose to sign it into law!
