A drug lord of South America had several hippos transported to his estate. Even after he died, the hippos flourished in South America. This was a perfect environment for the hippos as they had plenty to eat, and no threat where in Africa they would compete with lions, crocodiles and such. But the hippos just kept multiplying, eating food otherwise for native species, and destroyed the land with their size. The hippos endangered several species in the surrounding area at the cost of their easy living, as well as the people around.
