On each of 3 days Derrick rode 6.45 km to school 150 meters to the library and then 500 m back home how many km did he ride for
KengaRu [80]
Derrick rode 21 total km.

You can find this by adding the 3 distances together and multiplying by 3. Also remember to watch the units as 500m = .5km.

Find the rate of change in the table
mixas84 [53]

Answer:

I'm pretty sure it's +(-6).

Step-by-step explanation:

Basically for these, you find the slope. The slope equation is y1-y2/x1-x2.

Pick two points.

I'll just do (1,15) and (2,9).

15-9/1-2 = 6/-1 = -6.

I don't know if you were taught it this way, but my math teacher always told us that the rate of change had to be positive.

So you'd say the rate of change is +(-6), not -6.

Hope that sorta helped lol

Select the quadrant or axis where each ordered pair is located on a coordinate plane.
WINSTONCH [101]
The first quadrant is the upper right hand corner of the graph where both y and y are positive

the second quadrant in the upper left hand corner includes negative values of x and positive values of y

the third quadrant the lower he as corner includes negative values of both x and y

the fourth quadrant the lower right handed corner the x is positive and the y is negative

Find the value of the expressions 3x^3-2y^3-6x^2y^2+xy for x=2/3 and y=1/2
fiasKO [112]

Hi!

3x^3-2y^3-6x^2y^2+xy=\\\\=3\cdot(\frac{2}{3})^3-2\cdot(\frac{1}{2})^3-6\cdot(\frac{2}{3})^2\cdot(\frac{1}{2})^2+\frac{2}{3}\cdot\frac{1}{2}=\\\\=3\cdot\frac{8}{27}-2\cdot\frac{1}{8}-6\cdot\frac{4}{9}\cdot\frac{1}{4}+\frac{1}{3}=\\\\=\frac{8}{9}-\frac{1}{4}-\frac{2}{3}+\frac{1}{3}=\frac{8}{9}-\frac{1}{4}-\frac{1}{3}=\frac{32}{36}-\frac{9}{36}-\frac{12}{36}=\boxed{\frac{11}{36}}

Recall Marginal Cost is the derivative of Total Cost, and Fixed Cost is the cost of producing zero units.
olga nikolaevna [1]

Answer:

The total cost of producing 91 units of ACME rocket fuel is $3999.99.

Step-by-step explanation:

The Marginal Cost is given by the following function

MC(q) = 200*(q+9)^{-5}

The total cost function is the integrative of the marginal cost function. So:

TC(q) = \int {MC(q)} \, dq

TC(q) = \int {200*(q+9)^{-5}} \, dq

TC(q) = -50*(q+9)^{-4} + K

In which K, the integrative constant, is the fixed cost. So K = 4000.

1. Find the total cost of producing 91 units of ACME rocket fuel.

This is TC(91).

So

TC(91) = -50*(91+9)^{-4} + 4000 = 3999.99

The total cost of producing 91 units of ACME rocket fuel is $3999.99.
