-8x^3 + 6x^2 is your answer

I take it this means -2*x^{2} {(4x - 3)}

If this is correct then the answer is (-2*x^{2} * 4x) - (3 * -2*x^{2} )

Notice what happens to the - sign before the 3. It becomes a plus because of the minus in front of the 2. Two minuses make a plus.

-8x^3 + 6x^2 <<<<< Answer

In decimal form, to the nearest tenth, what is the probability that a randomly selected riverside high school student is in twel
Kitty [74]

Answer: 0.4 which is choice C

====================================

Work Shown

Focus on the "riverside high school" row only

A = number of twelfth graders = 200

B = number of students = 500

P = probability of picking a twelfth grader

P = A/B

P = 200/500

P = 2/5

P = 0.4

Tara is the editor of the school newspaper. She tries to devote about 1/2 of the paper to news, 1/3 to pictures, and the remaind
Klio2033 [76]
5/6 of the paper is devoted to news and pictures

first I made the fraction have equal denominators which was 6 by doing that I multiplyed the numerator and the denominator

1/2
1×3=3
2×3=6
therefore 1/2 being equivalent to 3/6

1/3
1×2=2
3×2=6
therefore 1/3 being equivalent to 2/6

now you would be able to add the numerators, so 2+3=5
therefore being 5/6 of the paper is devoted to news and pictures

What is the multiplicative rate of change of the function shown on the graph? Express your answer in decimal form. Round to the
allsm [11]
In linear models there is a constant additve rate of change. For example, in the equation y = mx + b, m is the constanta additivie rate of change.

In exponential models there is a constant multiplicative rate of change.

The function of the graph seems of the exponential type, so we can expect a constant multiplicative exponential rate.

We can test that using several pair of points.

The multiplicative rate of change is calcualted in this way:

 [f(a) / f(b) ] / (a - b)

Use the points given in the graph: (2, 12.5) , (1, 5) , (0, 2) , (-1, 0.8)

[12.5 / 5] / (2 - 1) = 2.5

[5 / 2] / (1 - 0) = 2.5

[2 / 0.8] / (0 - (-1) ) = 2.5

Then, do doubt, the answer is 2.5
