The governor of State A earns $163,765. The governor of state B earns $115,335.

First you would take away $48430 from the sum total of 279,100 that they both earn. That way, we can find how much their salaries would be without the price difference, and would get us the salary of Governor B. Then, after getting the salary or Governor B we add 48,430 back to it to get the salary of Governor A

A bacteria culture contains 1500 bacteria initially and doubles every hour. (a) Find a function N that models the number of bact
Tpy6a [65]

Answer: a) N(t)=1500(2)^t

b) 25165824000

Step-by-step explanation:

The exponential equation for growth is given by :-

y= ab^t , where a= initial value , b =multiplicative growth factor and t = time.

Given : A bacteria culture contains 1500 bacteria initially and doubles every hour.

i.e. a = 1500 and b= 2

Then, the function N that models the number of bacteria after t hours will be :

N(t)=1500(2)^t

To find , the number of bacteria after 24 hours , we put t= 24 in above equation , we get

N(24)=1500(2)^{24}\\\\=1500(16777216)=25165824000

Hence, the number of bacteria after 24 hours is 25165824000.

Radio signals travel at a rate of 3 × 108 meters per second. How many seconds will it take for a radio signal to travel from a s
blondinia [14]
The time taken for radio signal to the earth's surface we shall proceed as follows;
time=(distance)/(speed)
Distance=7.5×10^6 meters
speed=3×10^8 meters/second
therefore:
Time=(7.5×10^6)/(3×10^8)=0.025 seconds
We conclude that it will take the signal 0.025 seconds to reach the surface of the earth.
