Answer:

a. Smith, Carol (2004). Writing children's stories. Chicago: Brandon Publishing.

Explanation:

APA or the American Psychological Association is one form or style of citing sources in an academic or literary work. And it is mostly used in the field of behavioral and social sciences.

In this style or format of text citation, it is almost the same with the MLA format of citation. According to APA style, the last name of the author, followed by the first name will be at the beginning. Then, comes the date of the publishing, the title of the source followed by the location or place of publication. Last comes the publisher's name.

And according to this format, the correct answer will be option a.

Which major technological innovation helped spur major economic growth in the 90's?
fiasKO [112]

Answer:

The major technological innovation in the 90's is the airplane.

Explanation:

Until the invention, it was never believed that objects could fly in the air and into space. The innovation by Wilbur and Orville Wright, and later manufacture of airplanes in the 90's changed the economy situation of the decade. This makes it possible to travel to other countries, even continents by a faster and safer means. Thus, average people had the opportunity to travel beyond boundaries, thereby boosting the economy.

The airplane gained more acceptance and countries began to invest in it, thus increasing the number of air travel and airports in different countries. It This ensured a global economic growth as more people prefer air travel to other available means, e.g sea travel.

1) Describe the role of expectation on perceptual set. Use examples to support your argument?
JulijaS [17]

Answer:

1. When it comes to our perceptions of the world around us, you might assume that what you see is what you get. What if I told you that the way you see the world is heavily influenced by your own past experiences, expectations. For example, think about the last time you started a new class. Did you have any expectations at the outset that might have influenced your experience in the class? If you expect a class to be boring, are you more likely to be uninterested in class? This is what is known as a perceptual set. A perceptual set is basically a tendency to view things only in a certain way. Perceptual sets can impact how we interpret and respond to the world around us and can be influenced by a number of different factors.

2. Emotions have both bodily and motivational components, we also touch on perceptual influences of bodily and motivational states. Emotion and Perception, we consider only emotional influences on perception and not the reverse. However, it should be understood that perception is also fundamental to emotion. Indeed, many emotions arise immediately upon the perception of emotionally evocative stimuli, some requiring more interpretation (rising gas prices) and some less (snakes, spiders). But exploration of those phenomena requires a separate treatment [for a review of relevant conceptions. For example, when we are feeling sad, we will perceive the hill to be steeper than when we are feeling happy. Such findings indicate that the perception of spatial layout is in fact influenced by non-optical factors, including emotion.
