A teacher askes four students to write three measurements that will make more than one triangle and explain why. The table shows

the students' responses.
Joshua 4cm, 7cm, and 15cm can make more than one triangle because 4+7=11 and 11<15.
Melanie 9ft, 14ft, and 19ft can make more than one triangle because 9+14=23 and 23>19.
Austin 50o, 50o, and 50o can make more than one triangle because the angles are equal.
Zachary 110o, 40o, 30o can make more than one triangle because the angles add up to 180o.

Find the values of x and y.
nirvana33 [79]

Answer:

x=15.75 y=59

Step-by-step explanation:

In total there is 360 degrees. We know y is 59 so we will replace it with that.

59+59=118. 360-118=242. 242/2=121. 29+29=58. So we can subtract that to equal 63. Now 63=4x. We can divide so 2x=31.5. x=15.75.

Therefore, 15.75=x and 59=y

I hope this helped ^^.

5 and 6 why they keep giving me this lol
Advocard [28]

Answer:

5. The answer is 2

6. Her error is that she was supposed to subtract 16 minus 12 instead of 12 minus 2.

Step-by-step explanation:

For number 5 all I did was solve.

12 + (25 - 5^2) - 2 =

12 + 0 - 2 =

12 - 2 = 10

10 ÷ 5 = 2

So, for number 5 the answer is 2.

For number 6, you should know that when there are only plus and minus signs you solve from left to right.

She instead put parentheses where there shouldn't of been, and because of that she is wrong.

Hope this helps! :)

What is the base 8 representation of the number 11100111(2)
kondor19780726 [428]

Remark

You could convert base two to base 10 and then convert base 10 to base 8. That's the long way. The procedure below is the short way.

Step One

Write the base 2 number in groups of 3 starting from the right and going left

11 100 111

Step Two

Convert the base 2 numbers in groups of 3 to base 8. The largest result will be a 7

11 = 2*1 + 1 = 2 + 1 = 3

100 = 1*2^2 = 4

111 = 1*2^2 + 1*2 + 1 = 7

Step Three

Read the answer going down.

347 is the answer

Answer

347(8) = C
