Answer:

4. A. 8/10 or 4/5

 B.  see below

5. 11/4

6. B

Step-by-step explanation:

4. you are adding fractions

rides = 6/10

games = 2/10

farm = 1/10

on that graph in part a you could shade in 6 of those smaller (1/10) boxes with BLUE for rides, 2 of those (1/10) boxes with ORANGE for games, and 1 of the (1/10) boxes with GREEN for farm.  now we can visually see what the fair looks like.

PART A. what fraction is games and rides?  how many boxes are shaded with BLUE or GREEN? 8 of them.  so the fraction is 8/10.  then reduce to lowest terms (8 and 10 are divisible by 2, so divide both by 2) and that equals 4/5.

PART B. how many more rides sections that farm sections? we can look at the colors we added to it.  there are 6 BLUE sections for rides and there is only 1 GREEN section for farms.  Find the difference, there are 5 more BLUE sections than GREEN sections so we know there are 5 more rides than farms.

5. we are looking for an improper fraction, that is where the numerator is greater than the denominator, indicating whole numbers.

2 3/4 cups into an improper fraction:

take the whole number (2) and multiply it by the denominator (4):

2 x 4 = 8

then we add the numerator (3) to that result:

8 + 3 = 11

now put your fraction back together, 11 is the new numerator and 4 is still your denominator:

11/4

6. find the choice where the numerators add up to 9

B is the correct choice because 3 + 2 + 3 + 1 = 9

Answer:

y = 120x

Step-by-step explanation:

y=mx + b is what we need where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

the train travels at about 120km/hour, thus the slope is 120.

y= 120x +b. to find the y intercept plug in any coordinate.

240 = 120(2) +b. you find that the y-intercept is 0.

final equation: y= 120x

PLEASE ANSWER ASAP
Vlada [557]

Answer:

c

Step-by-step explanation:

For an inverse function you take f(x) and turn that to y then you switch x and y. So you should start off with y= 5x -8. so then you switch x and y so x= 5y - 8. So then you solve. You subtract 8 from both sides and divide by 5 and you get F(x) inverse = x + 8/5
