I dont think so because if you multiply 2 1/2 by 5/6 you would get 2 1/12 which means that you can make the first shelf but you would need to subtract 2 1/2 minus 2 1/12 and you would get 5/12. And 5/12 is not the same as 4/5

Hope this helps!!! Name me brainliest please!

The missing options that makes up the distance formula between two coordinates are; (x₂ - x₁)² and d²

How to find the distance between two coordinates?

The formula for distance between two coordinates is;

d = √[(y₂ - y₁)² + (x₂ - x₁)²]

where;

(x₁, y₁) is the coordinate of the first point

(x₂, y₂) is the coordinate of the second point

Now, this distance formula can also be rewritten when we square both sides to get;

(y₂ - y₁)² + (x₂ - x₁)² = d²

Thus, the missing options that makes up the distance formula between two coordinates are; (x₂ - x₁)² and d²

Determine whether each pair of ratios are equivalent. Explain (3/5),(9/15)
Lyrx [107]
Multiple both ratios by a least common denominator
the least common denominator for both is 15
multiply the first ratio by 3/3
9/15=9/15
both are equal because when multiplying by the least common denominator you get the same answer

Solve the system of equations.
5y - 4x = -7
2y + 4x = 14

X =
Y =
nadezda [96]

Answer:

5y + 2y - 4x + 4x = -7 +14

7y = 7

y = 1

2(1) + 4x = 14

4x = 12

x = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the process of elimination

Add both equations. The 4x will be eliminated since one is positive and one is negative. The equation is left with only the y variable and the constant.

When y is found, input it into the second equation to find x.
