Open this video of a "boy sliding" across the ice. The screen shows a data table, a position against time graph, and a velocity

against time graph. The symbols used are t for time, x for position, vx for velocity, and ax for acceleration.
Click the play button, and watch the video. Then study the position against time graph. What is the change in the motion of the boy? How do you know? Is the acceleration of the boy positive or negative?

Answer:

The change in motion is being decreased. I know this because the graph shows that every 0.5 seconds it is slightly being increased by distance causing there to be more drag resulting in there being a increase in time. the acceleration is negative.

Jesse made a model of a mountain range for class. to do this, he bought a cylinder of cardboard and cut it into three cones. eac
aniked [119]
By definition, the volume of the cone is given by:
 V = (1/3) (π) (r ^ 2) (h)
 Substituting values we have:
 V = (1/3) (π) ((4/2) ^ 2) (5)
 V = (20/3) (π)
 Then, the volume of the cylinder is:
 Vc = 3 * V
 Vc = 3 * (20/3) (π)
 Vc = 20π
 Answer:

the volume of the original cylinder jesse bought is:

Vc = 20π

Damon plans to buy a snowboard that cost $160. Damon has $40. He will save $20 each week until he has enough to buy the snowboar
Gekata [30.6K]

Answer:  It will take Damon 6 weeks to save the money he needs to buy the snowboard

Step-by-step explanation:

First, let's see what the problem is giving us:

-The variable X will represent the number of weeks it will take Damon to save the money he needs.

- Damon has $40

- Damon is going to safe $20 weekly

- The snowboard costs $160

Therefor:

Our equation will be:  $40 + $20X = $160

Step 1

We need to isolate the variable by subtracting in both sides of the equation 40 in order to maintain the equality.

40 - 40 + 20X = 160 - 40

This will let us with 20X = 120

Step 2

We have to isolate the variable again, but this time (because the variable is being multiplied by 20) we have to divide on both sides of the equation.

20X/20 = 120/20

Therefore: X=6
