The shapes are the same size. Match the sides.

3x -1 = 17

Add 1 to both sides:

3x = 18

Divide both sides by 3:

X = 6

2y = 16

Divide both sides by 2

Y = 8

Answer: x = 6, y = 8

Explain I don’t understand
Serggg [28]
So just divide 100 by 25 which equals 4 then divide 120 by 30 which also equals to 4 and if the rest equal 4 then its proportional (1)
And then same for 2 and 3 just divided the bottom by the top and if they all get the same answer they are proportion and if one is not the same then it’s not

For the grids if the dots are line diagonally straight and it starts at the 0 then it’s proportional if not then it’s not

Hope this helps :)

What is the distance across the river?
elena55 [62]

Answer:

The correct answer is,

d = 300 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Points to remember </u>

The ratio of of corresponding sides of similar triangles are equal.

From the figure we can see two similar triangles.

<u>To find the value of d</u>

It is given that, the ratio of d to 150 ft is the same as the ratio of 40 ft to 20 ft

d/150 = 40/20

d = (150 * 40)/20

d = 300

Therefore the value of d = 300 ft

Vanessa mane 6 sandwiches for a party and cut all into fourths. How many 1/4- sandwich pieces did she have?
Lady bird [3.3K]

Whenever you cut a sandwich in four parts, you make four small sandwiches out of each sandwich you're cutting.

So, if you have six sandwiches, and make four small sandwiches out of each of them, you'll end up with

6 \cdot 4 = 24 small sandwiches

Log_c(A)=2<br> log_c(B)=5, <br> solve log_c(A^5B^3)
vlabodo [156]

We know that \log_a(bc)=\log_a(b)+\log_a(c).

Using this rule,

\log_c(A^5B^3)=\log_c(A^5)+\log_c(B^3).

We also know that \log_c(a^b)=b\log_c(a).

Using this rule,

\log_c(A^5)+\log_c(B^3)=5\log_c(A)+3\log_c(B)

Now we know that \log_c(A)=2,\log_c(B)=5 so,

5\cdot2+3\cdot5=10+15=\boxed{25}.

Hope this helps :)
