Solve and graph: 7x-6>22(pls explain your answer, im confused on this)

Mathematics

6 0

Answer:

x>4

Step-by-step explanation:

Solving an inequality is very similar to solving an equation:

Given: 7x-6>22

Add 6 to both sides: 7x>28

Divide both side by 7: x>4

x>4 means that all x-values that are greater than 4 will work. Therefore you would write an open dot at x=4 on the number line to show that 4 isn't included, and draw an arrow going right to show all possible solutions greater than 4.

ACD = 30, Line segment AC = x + 1, Line segment CD = 2x + 2. What is x equal to? x =
Anon25 [30]

Answer:

AC+ CD = ACD

X+1 + 2X + 2 = 30

3X+3 =30

3X=30–3

3X=27

X= 27/ 3

X= 9

I'm not sure of the solution, but I solved it according to a straight line (Line segment) .

I hope I helped you^_^

There are 13 animals in a barn. Some are Chickens and some are Pigs. Altogether
konstantin123 [22]

Answer:

Ahh! What a classic: Systems of Equations!

So, if you don't know what a system of equations is, its basically two equations with two variables combined into a system.

So, let x=# of pigs

And also, Let y=# of chickens

Let's make our first equation!

13=x+y

This is because there are 13 animals in a barn.

So then, knowing that a pig has 4 legs and a chicken 2:

40=4x+2y

This is because there are 40 legs in total, and we multiply the variable because that's how many legs each creature has.

So, here is our system!

\left \{ {{x+y=13} \atop {4x+2y=40}} \right.

Through Substitution (the inputting of something instead of a variable):

x+y=13\\x=13-y

Then, we input it into the next equation:

4(13-y)+2y=40\\52-4y+2y=40\\-2y=-12\\y=6

This means that there are 6 chickens, and by inputting it into the first equation:

x+6=13\\x=7

So there you have it!

FYI there are 6 chickens and 7 pigs.

Hope this helps!

P.S. Stay Safe!

Points If a person invests $250 at 9% annual interest, find the approximate value of the investment at the end of 15 years.
AfilCa [17]

Principal Amount = P = $250

Interest Rate = r = 9% = 0.09

Time in years = t = 15 years

Value of investment = A = ?

The formula to calculate the value on investment as a result of annual interest is:

A=P(1+r)^{t}

Using the values in the above formula, we get:

A=250(1+0.09)^{15}\\ \\  A=\$ 910.62

Thus, at the end of 15 years the value of the investment will be $ 910.62.
