The Maritime Silk Road was the name given by a Japanese scholar in 1967 to distinguish it from the traditional Silk Road. This route surrounded many oceans and seas including; South China Sea, Strait of Malacca, Indian Ocean, Gulf of Bengal, Arabian Sea, Persian Gulf and the Red Sea.

The radio became widespread. It was welcomed by the public and by 1934 almost 60% of the US had radio access. Sports events, news, dramas and more were broadcasted through the radio.
Stock markets across the west developed negatively. On Black Tuesday, stock markets crashed, sending the world into the Great Depression.
The states were all trying to create their own government and all the other nations were confused as to who wanted what in trade or how anything worked
The Truman Doctrine was established to aid nations that were fighting against communism. President Truman highly disagreed with communism, which is what lead him to creating the doctrine.
