Answer:

Answer given below

Step-by-step explanation:

When we calculate the LCM, you get it as 6.

So both the fractions should have a denominator 6.

For that, in 2/3 we should multiply both numerator and denominator with 2 so that denominator becomes 6.

When we convert to like fraction, 2/3 becomes 4/6.

Now both the fractions have common denominator

Hope it helps.

The meaning of like is same and unlike means different. So to make it a like fraction the denominator needs to be the same 2 x 2= 4 3 x 3=6 = 4/6

Remember that the angles of a triangle is 180 so:

(7x+8) + (5x+2) + (7x-1) = 180
7x+8+5x+2+7x-1=180
7x+5x+7x=180-8-2+1
19x=171
X= 171/19
X=9

Therefore x=9

The width of a rectangle is 3/8 the length x of the rectangle. What is the perimeter of the rectangle?
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

(11/4)x units

Step-by-step explanation:

for a rectangle,

perimeter = 2(length) + 2(width)

given:

length = x

width = (3/8)x

hence,

perimeter = 2(length) + 2(width)

perimeter = 2x + 2(3/8)x

perimeter = 2x + (3/4)x

perimeter = [2 + (3/4)]x

perimeter = (11/4)x
