Answer:

9.

h(x)=-x-1

let y =-x-1

interchanging role of x & y

x=-y-1

y=-x-1

h-¹(x)=-x-1

again

f(x)=(2-3x)/2

let

y=(2-3x)/2

interchanging role of x & y

x=(2-3y)/2

2x-2=-3y

y=(2-2x)/3

f-¹(x)=(2-2x)/3

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Call h(x) = y (It's easier to see).

y = -x - 1

The first step is always to interchange x and y

y = -x - 1

-x = y - 1

Solve for y

-x + 1 = y

If I understand the question, these two (f(x) and h(x)) are not inverses.

10 is a bit tricky. An inverse can invert into itself: This is called an involution. But if they are differently labeled, I'm not sure. I don't think that this is exactly what is men by an involution. Something like y = x would be. But you have 2 different inverses. I'm not sure that this qualifies.

y = x + 3

g = x + 3

x = y + 3

x - 3 = y

A triangle has a 90° angle, and the other two interior angles are congruent. Explain how to find the measure of one of the two c
Salsk061 [2.6K]

Answer:

45 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

Think of it like this the sum of the angles in a triangle are the always the same 180 degrees.

So now, we do 180 - 90 = 90 this is the sum of the other angles.

We shall assume that they are the same and divide 90/2 = 45 degrees each

Ok here are some things to understand while solving!

  • If three sides of one triangle are equal to three sides of another triangle, the triangles are congruent.
  • If two sides and the included angle of one triangle are equal to the corresponding sides and angle of another triangle, the triangles are congruent.
  • If two angles and the included side of one triangle are equal to the corresponding angles and side of another triangle, the triangles are congruent.
  • If two angles and the non-included side of one triangle are equal to the corresponding angles and side of another triangle, the triangles are congruent.
  • If the hypotenuse and one leg of one right-angled triangle are equal to the corresponding hypotenuse and leg of another right-angled triangle, the two triangles are congruent.
  • Without knowing at least one side, we can't be sure if two triangles are congruent. (which we do!)

Hope this helped!

Answer:

Part A) the direct variation equation that relates x and y is:

y= -5x

Part B) value of y = 75

Step-by-step explanation:

Part A)

We are given that y varies directly with x, and y=10 when x=-2 what direct variation equation relates x and y?

If x and y are directly related then:

y ∝ x or y=kx

where k is constant of proportionality.

Now, finding k:

y=10 and x=-2

y=k\,\,x\\10=k*-2\\k=10/-2\\k=-5

So, value of k = -5

So, the direct variation equation that relates x and y is:

y= -5x

Part B)

What is the value of y when x = -15

the equation is:

y= -5x

Putting x = -15

y=-5x\\y=-5(-15)\\y=75

So, value of y = 75

Answer: 77/95 chance

Step-by-step explanation: There are 8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1 = 36 choices that differ by 12 or more, so the probability they differ by 12 or more is 36/190 = 18/95. So the probability that they do not differ by 12 or more is 1 - 18/95 = 77/95. Brainliest please?
