No protection from Legislation

Explanation:

During the early phase of Industrial Revolution, the government did not provide any form of protection to the workers. As a result, many companies started to exploited the working class by forcing them to work very long hours, hiring child workers,  and paying extremely low salaries.

On top of that, those companies often did not provide a safe working environment that led to high number of fatalities among working class. This was the reason why they felt appressed.
