While working on a large portrait, Juan used 16 1/3 tubes of paint and 5 1/4 ounces of brush cleaner. Juan is visiting an art su

pply store to get supplies for his next painting. Assuming his next painting requires the same amount of supplies, how many ounces of brush cleaner will he need to buy for every tube of paint?

We have that Juan used in total 16 1/3 tubes of paint or else 49/3 tubes of paint for his painting. He also used 5 1/4 ounces of brush cleaner or 21/4 ounces of brush cleaner. We have thus that 21/4 ounces of brush cleaner correspond to 49/3 tubes of paint. Suppose that x ounces of brush cleaner corresponds to 1 tube of paint. The two quantities are proportionate thus the following equation holds:
\frac{\frac{21}{4}}{\frac{49}{3}} = \frac{x}{1}
Hence we have:
\frac{21*3}{49*4}=x

This yields that x is equal to \frac{63}{196} . By dividing both numerator and denominator by 7, we get that the painter need 9/28 ounces of bruch cleaner for every tube of paint (this is equal to 0,32 in decimal system)

Plot and label the temperatures on a number line. You can create it by using a drawing program, by drawing it by hand and sendin
Ugo [173]

The temperatures can be plotted and labelled on a number line as shown in the image attached below (see attachment).

Temperature can be represented on a vertical number line with 0 representing 0°F.

Temperatures above 0°F will be located above 0, while temperatures below 0°F will be located below 0.

Given the following temperatures: <em>-3.5℉ , 5℉, 1.5℉, -0.5℉, -2℉, 2.5℉ and -4℉</em>

Therefore, the temperatures can be plotted and labelled on a number line as shown in the image attached below (see attachment).

Through:(-1, -2), slope = 5
kherson [118]

Answer:

y=5x+3

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi there!

We're given the point (-1, -2) and a slope of 5. We need to find the equation of the line in slope intercept form.

Slope-intercept form is given as y=mx+b, where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

Since we're already given the slope, we can substitute that immediately into the equation

here it is so far:

y=5x+b

now we need to solve for b

Since the line will pass through the point (-1,-2), we can use it to solve for b

substitute -1 as x and -2 as y into the equation

-2=5(-1)+b

multiply

-2=-5+b

add 5 to both sides

3=b

substitute that into the equation

therefore, the equation of the line is <u>y=5x+3</u>

Hope this helps! :)
