Answer:

The answer is option 3

Explanation:

Despite there being many other causes that contributed to the loss, the driving reason was that  Lee surrendered to General Grant because his regiments were completely surrounded by Union cavalry troops who arrived near Appomattox long before the confederate army arrived. Because of this they were able to effectively thwart any possibility of retreat from Lee's armies. They also took a large amount of confederate prisoners. Because of this, Lee was forced to acknowledge to General Grant that the Unionists had won the American Civil War.

lyudmila [28]

Answer:

The answer is about $2.75 per gallon

Explanation:

In order to solve this problem, you take the 34.40 the divide it by the 12.5 and that gives you 2.752, which simplifies to 2.75. If you want to check your work, take the 2.75 and multiply it by the 12.5 and that gives you 34.375 which rounds to 34.40

pychu [463]
<em><u>oil</u></em>

Natural resource which made Ghana a prosperous kingdom is gold. This country had abundance of gold, since it literally sat on the gold mine, and its rulers used it for many years of successful trading. Therefore, the kingdom became powerful and prosperous. In some periods even dogs in Ghana had golden collars, and Ghana's kings were among the richest men in the world. They traded gold for salt (mostly with Arabs) which was very important for people's health. Today, Ghana is the second largest gold producer in Africa.
