Answer:

84th days they will meet.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided information.

The health inspector visits every 7 days, and the fire inspector visits every 12 days.

Part (A) Make a table for the next 4 visits for each inspector.

The required table is shown below:

Health inspector: 7, 14, 21, 28

Fire inspector:    12, 24, 36, 48

Part (B) In how many days will both inspectors visit on the same day?

In order to find the solution of this problem we need to find the LCM of the both number as shown:

7= 1×7

12=2×2×3

Now the LCM of the numbers are: 2×2×3×7=84

Hence, on 84th days they will meet.

The sum of two numbers is 0. Twice the smaller number subtracted from 3 times the larger number is 10. Let x represent the large
Bezzdna [24]

Answer:

x+y=0 and 3x-2y=10

Step-by-step explanation

Let the numbers be x and y.

The sum of the two numbers is 0

\implies \: x + y =0

Letting the smaller number be y and the

larger number be x:

twice the smaller number

\implies \: 2y

Also, 3 times the larger number

\implies \: 3x

Now ,twice the smaller number subtracted from 3 times the larger number is 10.

\implies \: 3x - 2y = 10

Therefore the equations are

x + y =0

and

3x  - 2y =10
