It did help Texas win it's independence due to the fact it helped with the Santa Anna problem and everything after. Plus, Texas was involved in the Alamo story, so yes, it did help. This sacrifice was worth it, I really grew attached to some of the people like James Bowie and David Crockett. they risked their lives for our lives, and it has helped us.
