Answer:

In technical terms, the slope of the line is the change in y over the change in x. But I just like to think of it as rise over run. To find the slope of the line, pick two points on the line.

The slope of the line is -2/1 or -2. Because instead of rising you are going down -2. If you divide -2 by 1 it would be -2, so your slope is -2.
Hope this helps :)

How do you tell if it's possible to make a triangle out of these side lengths?<br> PLZ HELP!!!!!
Nastasia [14]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

square root of 73 is about 8.5

square root of 10 is about 3. multiply by 3, you get 9.

square root of 7 is about 2.6. multiply by 5, you get 13.

when determining if you can make a triangle, if all variants of two sides can add up to be greater than the third side, you can make the triangle. so 8.5+9 > 13; 13+9 > 8.5; 13+8.5 > 9. this means it can make a triangle and all you have to do is order the sides.

8.5 is smallest which corresponds to angle c because it's opposite. 9 goes to angle a, then finally 13 goes to angle b. thus, angles c, a, b is the order.

side note: the smallest side length will always correspond with the smallest angle.

hope this helps :)

Rectangle MNPQ is similar to rectangle RSTU. Given the information marked on the diagram, what is the perimeter of RSTU?
xenn [34]
The perimeter of RSTU can be calculated alone without the help of MNPQ. It would be just 2(4) + 2(3) = 14 units. However, it would be much sensible if you want to find the parameter of the bigger rectangle. Since they are similar, you could use ratio and proportion.

(length/width)∨MNPQ = (length/width)∨RSTU
(x/9) = (3/4)
x = 6.75 units

Thus the perimeter of MNPQ is 2(6.75) + 2(9) = 31.5 units

Find the area of the given shape
Luba_88 [7]
Answer:
The area of that triangle is 28 square inches.
Explanation:
You must choose a height that is perpendicular to the base.

In that case, the height 8 inches is perpendicular to the base 7 inches.

8 inches x 7 inches= 56 inches.

Since the formula for a triangle is base x height divided by 2, we divided 56 by 2

56 divided by 2 = 28
So the area is 28 square inches
