The dependent variable of a scientific investigation is a variable that depends on the independent variable. It is a variable that is required to check or find the effect of the independent variable and also known as output value that helps to know the effect of input values or independent variable.
In this case, the input value or the independent variable is different fertilizer as it is the only variable that is manipulated by the researcher, and due to this manipulation, the production of the corn affected which is the dependent variable as it depends on the independent variable.
In my opinion, chloroplasts and mitochondria can't live outside the cell now because mitochondria ensure the energy for the cell and the chloroplasts is important for photosynthesis. Just my opinion.
