Answer: d. A bar graph indicating average high and low temperatures for Amanda’s area in the autumn, winter, spring, and summer.

A scientific study requires the use of variables, on the basis of which the outcome of the study can be obtained. An independent variable refers to a variable which can be changed or manipulated in an experiment, such changes will affect the dependent variables. Dependent variables is the outcome of the research, it cannot be changed manually instead the changes occur are because of the changes in the independent variable.

In the given situation, a bar graph indicating average high and low temperatures for Amanda’s area in the autumn, winter, spring, and summer would be an effective scientific model to be incorporated in the Amanda project. This is because of the fact that both independent and dependent variables can be analyzed by this way. The temperature is an independent variable, which changes with respect to the climatic conditions, which represent a particular season like autumn, winter, spring and summer which is a dependent variable.

Rom4ik [11]
A pregnancy lasts for 40 weeks, The weeks are grouped into three trimesters, The second Trimester includes weeks 13 through 27 of a pregnancy.
In the second Trimester the baby grows larger and stronger and many women begin showing a larger belly. Most women find the second trimester is a lot easier than the first.
When the second trimester starts the baby is about 3 inches long. At the beginning of the second trimester the baby's head is the biggest part of his or her body. During the next weeks the rest of the baby's body will get longer in order to catch up . By the end of the second trimester the baby may be 9 inches longer or longer. The baby will start to hear certain sounds, like the mother's heartbeat. The baby's hearing will continue to improve. The baby will have fingerprints and footprints by the end of the second trimester, Fine hair, and a white waxy substance cover and protect the baby's skin. The skin is thin, loose, and wrinkled. By the third trimester fat will start to fill in under the skin. The baby's digestive system will start to function, the baby will also begin to produce and release urine, which becomes amniotic fluid. By the middle of the second trimester the baby's sex should be clear.

How is a mantle plume (hot spot) different from volcanoes in the Ring of Fire? How are they similar? Give one specific example o
riadik2000 [5.3K]

The difference between a hot spot volcano and the volcanoes from Ring of Fire can mainly be seen in the way of formation and functioning. The hot spot volcanoes are far away from any tectonic plate boundary and they manage to penetrate the crust over them and come out on the surface to usually create volcanic islands. The activity of the volcanoes from the Ring of Fire depends directly from the activity between the bordering tectonic plates, and as the borders move over time, the volcanoes stop existing, and new ones rise in the direction where the boundary moves.

The similarity can be seen in the type of eruptions, and that usually both types of volcanoes form volcanic islands.

Example for a hot spot volcano is Mauna Loa on Hawaii.

What is an outcome of gene regulation
Ksivusya [100]

Answer:

Homeostasis is an outcome of gene regulation.

Explanation:

Gene regulation can be described as one of the vital processes through which maintenance of the body's internal conditions takes place. The mechanism of gene regulation monitors the production rate of a specific protein according to the requirements of the body. Almost every RNA or protein of the body needs regulation.

Homeostasis can be described as the maintenance of ideal conditions for the proper functioning of the body. The genes needed for maintaining homeostasis need to be properly regulated. For example, regulation of temperature, regulation of blood glucose level.
