B = number of boys = 8 G = number of girls The average mass of everyone is: [ (55)B + (52)G ] ⁄ (B + G) = 53.2 (55)B + (52)G = (53.2)B + (53.2)G (1.8)B = (1.2)G (1.5)B = G The ratio of girls to boys is —> 1.5 :1 If there are 8 boys, then there are 12 girls
So, if the father is 60, his son is half his age, which would be 30.
So, to find out how old the boy was when his father was 4 times his age, you would do, 30 divided by 4 (I believe).
You then should get, 7 1/2 years old the boy is.
Hope this helps! Have a great rest of your day! c:
7x + 5.25 = 82.957x = 77.70X = 11.1
I believe that is the correct equation and answer. Hope this helped!
-Twix
If u are looking for x its 4 because if y=2 then u substitue it for y and you get -x+2=-2. to get x by its self you have to subtract 2 from both sides and u end up with -x=-4 and u have to divide -x by -1 to get rid of the negative and u get x=4
