Answer: 240 Miles

Step-by-step explanation:

My answer is correct because, if 1 cm =15 miles and the distance is 16 cm apart, then all we have to do is multiply 16 times 15 (since there are 15 miles in 1 cm and theres 16 cm.) 15 x 16=240 so the naswer is 240 Miles!

Hope This Helps!

Answer:

240 miles.

Step-by-step explanation:

First, you are going to determine the ratio of centimeters to miles (1:15)

Since there are 15 miles to every centimeter, you may create an equation like this to help: 15 x c = m (m being miles and c being centimeters)

This means that for every centimeter there are 15 miles.

Since the distance between Town A and Town B is 16 centimeters, you may replace the variable "c" with 16 like so: 15 x 16 = m

Because there are 15 miles for every centimeter, you may multiply the centimeters by 15 to get the distance, using the aforementioned equation of 15 x 16 = m. 15 times 16 is 240.

Therefore there are 240 miles separating Town A and Town B.

Hope this helps!

suppose the leftmost digits of two numbers are 8 and 3. can you tell which number is greater? explain.
Debora [2.8K]
You cannot tell which number is greater because you don't know how many numbers follow after 8 or 3. It all depends on how many numbers follow afterwards.
Example:
It could be 800 or 80,000
It could be 30,000 or 300,000

~ I hope you get what I mean. If you have any more questions, I'd be happy to help!<span />
