Stalin had an accident when he was 12 years old. It was during this accident that left him with a deformed arm. He was hit with a phaeton. This left his left arm much shorter than his right arm. He was in the hospital for several months to recover from being hit.

He become a revolutionist and Marxist when he was a young man attending seminary. He went on to become an outlaw after Russia's secret police marked him for his activities.

Pericles changed the legislation so that any free male citizen (regardless of wealth or status) could become one of the nine magistrates of Athens. As well, he changed the law so that both parents had to be Athenian citizens for the child to be considered Athenian. What this did was limit who the government of Athens represented, as Athenian citizens were a smaller population as a result of this law.
