Answer:

Diversity

Bears are a small group of mostly large mammals, with 8 species in 5 genera (Ursus, Tremarctos, Melursus, Helarctos, and Ailuropoda). Although Ursidae is not diverse, species in this family are widespread and culturally significant to human populations throughout their range. (Flynn, et al., 2005; Nowak, 1991; Vaughan, et al., 2000)

Geographic Range

Bears are found on all continents except Antarctica and Australia, but are primarily found throughout the northern hemisphere, historically occurring as far south as the Atlas Mountains of northwestern Africa, the Andes of South America, and the Sunda shelf region. This range has been reduced in historical times as a result of human persecution and habitat destruction. For example, brown bear (Ursus arctos) populations in the Atlas Mountains are thought to be extinct and their range has been significantly altered in North America and Europe. (Nowak, 1991; Pasitchniak-Arts, 1993; Vaughan, et al., 2000)

Habitat

Bears occur in nearly all terrestrial habitats throughout their range, from Arctic tundra and polar ice floes to tropical and temperate forests, mountains, grasslands, and deserts. Although some bear species occur in arid areas, proximity to water is important. Bears are most abundant and diverse in temperate and boreal regions. Most species are habitat generalists, changing preferred foods, activity patterns, and denning quarters with local conditions. Ailuropoda melanoleuca, however, is found primarily in the montane bamboo forests of southern China. (Chorn and Hoffman, 1978; DeMaster and Stirling, 1981; Fitzgerald and Krausman, 2002; Lariviere, 2001; Nowak, 1991; Pasitchniak-Arts, 1993; Vaughan, et al., 2000)

Mendelâs main assumption is that a specific unit of heredity called the _____________ causes a specific observable trait in an o
anygoal [31]

Answer:

Factors

Explanation:

 • Mendel was a scientist who proposed the theory of inheritance based on his work done on pea plants.
 • According to his theory, the inheritance of a trait was determined by discrete and specific units of heredity which he called as factors.
 • Further, he explained that for any given trait each individual possesses one factor from each parent so that the individual has 2 factors for each trait and the variants of a given factor were termed as alleles.
 • The units of inheritance that were called as factors by Mendel are now termed as genes and it is the expression of these genes that encode for the observable trait in an organism and these are inherited from the parents.

hey buddy here is your answer

b -that the first occurs in the mitochondria and the second occurs in the chloroplasts

explanation:

Oxidative phosphorylation occurs on the inner mitochondrial membrane and the high energy electrons originate from reduced coenzymes NADH and FADH2 (from the Krebs Cycle, Link Reaction and Glycolysis), whereas non-cyclic photophosphorylation occurs on the thylakoid membrane in the chloroplasts, and the electrons

Which of these is the study of interactions among organisms and their environment including its living and nonliving parts?
MakcuM [25]

Ecology is the study of interactions among organisms and their environment including its living and nonliving parts.

Answer: A. Ecology

Explanation:

Ecology is the investigation of how living beings associate with each other and with their physical condition. The conveyance and bounty of living beings on Earth is moulded by both biotic, living-life form related, and abiotic, nonliving or physical, factors.

Ecology is learned at numerous levels, including creature, populace, network, biological system, and biosphere. Water accessibility is a case of an abiotic, or nonliving, factor that can influence dispersion of creatures.

Accessibility of supplements given by different life forms is a case of a biotic, living-creature related, factor that can impact appropriation.
