Augustulus was a teenager when he became a ruler in AD 475. He only lasted 10 months because he was 'disposed of' in AD 476. When Augustulus took power the empire was already pretty much ruined by previous rulers. His subjects did not respect him because he was way to young to take over an entire population of people.
