Emperor Mutsuhito- launched the Meiji restoration
The Meiji Restoration was a political revolution in Japan taken place in 1868 that brought to an end the military government Tokugawa shogunate and achieved to give back control of the country to direct imperial rule under Mutsuhito that reigned from 1867 to 1912. The revolution also resulted in political, economic, and social changes that made Japan one of the great powers of the modern world.
Sun Yat-Sen- the first president of the Republic of China
Sun Yat-Sen (1866-1925) is considered the father of modern China, a key element in overthrowing the Qing dynasty, and he served as the first provisional president of the Republic of China from 1911 to 12.
Tokugaowa Shogun- signed the Treaty of Kanagawa
The treaty was signed by the U.S. and the Japanese government: Tokugaowa Shogunwas (An feudal military government) in Kanagawa, Japan on March 31, 1854. It opened the ports of Shimoda and Hakodate to American trade and permitted the establishment of a U.S. consulate in Japan.
Emperor Guangxu- launched the 100 Days of Reform
The young Guangxu emperor, who reigned from 1875 to 1908, launched the reform in June 1898, as an attempt to modernize China by reforming its government, economy, and society.
