Hey There!

____________________________________

Answer:

____________________________________

\huge\textbf{Fish}

Fish is the Super Class Pisces of Phylum Chordata. Pisces is the latin word for the fish.

\texttt{Phylum: Chordata} \implies \texttt{Group: Craniata} \implies \texttt{Sub-Phylum: Gnathostomes} \implies \texttt{Super Class: Pisces}

CHORDATA: This phylum has the major animals with much economic importance. All the animal in this phylum has three common character that are

 1. Notochord: Flexible cartilaginous skeletal rod.
 2. Hollow, dorsal, tubular nerve cord: Differentiated into Brain and Spinal Cord
 3. Pharyngeal Gill Slits: In embryo stage, Pharynx become perforated and help in respiration.

CRANIATA: This group has brain protected in Skeletal brain box called cranium.

GNATHOSTOMES: This is largest group of Vertebrates. They have mouth with Jaws present.

_____________________________________

\huge\textbf{Pisces}

This is the largest group of chordates which includes 25000 species of fishes. Study of fishes is called Ichthyology.

Fish is an aquatic gill breathing gnathostomates whose stramlined body is provided with paired fins and covered over dermal scales.

Super Class pisces is divided into two classes:

 • Chondrichthyes
 • Osteichthyes

_____________________________________

\huge\textbf{Chondrichthyes}

Chondrichthyes are Cartilagineous fishes. This class is also called Elasmobronchi. It has exclusively marine fishes with endoskeleton made of cartilage. Their skin has tiny shark enamel coated denticles called Placoid Scales.They are heterocercal and Mouth is present at ventral to tail fins.They have exposed 5 gills on each sides.

Example Shark, Ray fishes, Dog dish etc

_____________________________________

\huge\textbf{Osteichthyes}

These fishes are Bony Fishes. This group is also called Teleostomi, They are found in both marine and fresh water. Their endoskeleton is made up of bones. Their skin has thin bony plates called cycloid or ctenoid. Their gills are covered with outer skin called operculum. Tain fin is homocercal and mouth is present at anterior tip.

Examples Sea Horse, Gold fish, Eel etc

_____________________________________

\huge\textbf{Features}

 • They have gill to breath
 • Streamlined body to move in fast moving water
 • All fishes are cold-blooded.
 • Fins are present for locomotion
 • Have hypertonic or hypotonic environment according to the environment they are present.
 • They have great sense of smell
 • They have air bladder to be bouncy

_____________________________________

\huge\textbf{Economical Use}

The main economical use of fishes as Nutritional Value. The commonly edible fishes are Salmon, Cat fishes, Mackrels, Carps etc. Fish is not only a source of proteins and healthy fats, but also a unique source of essential nutrients, including long-chain omega-3 fatty acids, iodine, vitamin D, and calcium. They also have religious, medicinal, industrial values.

The common edible frog of Europe is a hybrid between two species, Rana lessonae and Rana ridibunda. The hybrids have a wide dist
Bond [772]

Postzygotic isolation

Explanation:

In the given information of edible frog both male and female hybrids exist, but when they mate among themselves, they cannot successfully produce offspring which defines that postzygotic isolation exists between the two frog species

 • Postzygotic isolation prevents the formation of fertile offspring
 • Before the postzygotic isolation can happen, there must be an offspring born from a male and female of two different species
 • This means there were no prezygotic isolations, such as the fitting together of the sex organs or incompatibility of the gametes or differences in mating rituals or locations, that kept the species in reproductive isolation
 • The offspring of two different species known as a hybrid is not always viable
 • Sometimes, they will self-abort before being born and other times, they will be sickly or weak as they develop
