Answer:

This affected the South because up in the North they can grow more crops (abundance of corn, wheat, Barley, etc) with the wetter grounds and having a lot of livestock. And with most of the settlers being immigrants or people who opposed slavery, they aren't going to want to trade or sell with the South. Along with Congress prohibiting slavery in the Northwest Territory in 1787, now the South can't have farms with slaves in the North and make more money, and if slaves escape to the North, they'll be helped most of the time and the South will be screwed.

Explanation: Because I've done a lot of Civil war learning, hope this helps :)

What is a confederal system of government
Vedmedyk [2.9K]
A confederate system sits at the other extreme in terms of centralization. A confederacy is a loose relationship among a number of smaller political units. The vast majority of political power rests with the local governments; the central federal government has very little power. Local governments have a great deal of freedom to act as they wish, but this freedom often leads to conflicts between states and the federal government. In some cases, a confederacy is little more than an alliance between independent states.

Who can kill a bill?
alexdok [17]

Answer: D. The Speak of the House

Explanation:

If the bill is vetoed, it goes back to Congress, which can override the veto with a two-thirds vote in both houses. Veto overrides are rare and it is extremely difficult to get two-thirds of each house of Congress to agree to override. Instead, presidential vetoes usually kill bills.

Which of the following is NOT a reason for the rise in democracy in Latin America?
Galina-37 [17]
The best option would be that "<span>The U.S. imposed a treaty that forced Latin American countries to democratize or face crippling sanctions," since it was never in American's best interest to force the democratization of the region. </span>
