Find the surface area of the cylinder. Round your answer to the nearest tenth.
6 ft
15 ft
lys-0071 [83]

Answer:

the surface area is 791.3

Step-by-step explanation:

the equation to find the surface area of a cylinder is A=2πrh+2πr^2

A=2*3.14*6*15+2*3.14*6^2

A=6.28*6*15+6.28*36

A=37.68*15+226.08

A=565.2+226.08

A=791.28

rounded to the nearest tenth it would be 791.3

Solve 4 sec sqrd x = 8
Aneli [31]

                                                4 sec²(x)  =  8

Divide each side by  4:                   sec²(x) = 2

Take the square root of each side: sec(x) = + or - √2

We know that sec(x) = 1/cos(x)

So the equation becomes                1/cos(x) = + or - √2

Divide '1' by each side:                    cos(x)  =  + or -  (1/2) √2

       x =  45°,  135°,  225°,  315°

Anybody know how to do this?
snow_tiger [21]

The arc is 4 right,

And the whole circle has a perimeter of 20.

If you do 20/4, you get a total of 5 of those pink arcs that fit in the circle.

A circle has 360 degrees, so if you do 360/5 = 72 and That’s your answer. I hope you understand my logic, if you don’t I can clear some things up....?

ANSWER:

72 degrees

I need help ASAP!!!!!!!!
4vir4ik [10]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1st rectangle has an area of: h - horizontal sections * l - lateral sections.

A1 = 10 * 10 = 100 units squared

But only a fraction of them are colored.

72 / 100 are colored in the 1st rectangle.

The second has an area of: A2 = 10 * 1 = 10 units squared, but one row in the 2nd rectangle is the same as 10 units in the 1st so the area is still 100 units squared.

But the colored sections are 2/10 or 20/ 100.

Now we subtract 72/100 - 20/100 = 52/100 = 26/50 = 13/25 = 0.52 A
