Answer and Explanation:

1. The cartoonist was in favor of the prohibition party, as the cartoon shows that from the action of that party, various social and political problems would be controlled.

2. According to the cartoon, the ban party campaigned against girl trafficking, cqmbling, partnership with thieves, political corruption and saloon.

3. The octopus represents the problems that saloons cause in society, the saloon being the center of the octopus and the problems that it generates the tentacles. In this way the cartoonist shows the octopus as what the party wants to fight.
