e servings of apple soda: A graph is shown. The values on the x axis are 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. The values on the y axis are 0, 6, 12, 18, 24, 30. Points are shown on ordered pairs 0, 0 and 1, 6 and 2, 12 and 3, 18 and 4, 24. These points are connected by a line. The label on the x axis is Lemon -Lime Soda in cups. The title on the y axis is Apple Juice in cups. What is the ratio of the number of cups of apple juice to the number of cups of lemon-lime soda? 1:24 24:1 1:6 6:1

The ratio of the number of cups of apple juice to lemon-lime soda is 6:1.

If there is a point on the graph at (1, 6), where the x-coordinate the number of cups of lemon-lime soda and y-coordinate is the number of cups of apple juice, you can deduce the ratio (6 cups of apple juice for 1 cup of lemon-lime soda).

As you imagine on the graph, this pattern continues, with 2 cups of lemon-lime soda for 12 cups of apple juice, that simplifies to 1 cup of lemon-lime soda for 6 cups of apple juice. Since the question asks for the ratio of apple juice to lemon-lime soda, you just reverse the values and get 6:1

Mariana [72]

Answer:

Since the difference between the value for each year is constant, this is an arithmetic sequence.

Step-by-step explanation:

Year 2 - Year 1 = 21,750 - 20,000 = 1,750

Year 3 - Year 2 = 23,500 - 21,750 = 1,750

Year 4 - Year 3 = Year 5 - Year 4 = 1,750

Please help answering questions 215 and 216.

Problem 215

Check out the attached image. Line up the letters ABC and CDE so the first set of letters are over the second set of letters. Order is important here. Note how A corresponds to C (second C), B corresponds to D, and (the first) C corresponds to E.

We have this mapping:

A <--> C

B <--> D

C <--> E

This means...

Angle BAC corresponds to Angle DCE (red angles)

Angle ABC corresponds to Angle CDE (blue angles)

Angle BCA corresponds to Angle DEC (green angles)

It also means...

Side BC corresponds to Side DE (red sides)

Side AC corresponds to Side CE (blue sides)

Side AB corresponds to Side CD (green sides)

Check out the attached image which I hope clears up any confusion you may have. Often I think it helps to represent stuff like this in a visual way.

Problem 216

Answer: True

Since triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DEF, this means that side AB is congruent to side ED. These are corresponding sides. Since AB = 6, this means ED = 6 as well.
