Even though uranus is bigger than earth why does earth have more gravity than uranus

Even though Uranus is bigger earth has more mass because earth is made up of rock and Uranus is made up of gas and  rock is heavier than gas because rock is a solid  has no room to for the molecules to move around while uraanus is made of gas which is lighter so the molecules can move around more freely which means that earth will have more mass and there for will have more gravity.

A fan blade is rotating with a constant angular acceleration of 11.5 rad/s2. At what point on the blade, as measured from the ax
vichka [17]

Answer:

Alpha = ω^2 R    where R is radius of blade

g = w^2 r      where r is distance from center

ω^2 R = 11.5 ω^2 r

R / r = 11.5 / 9.8 = 1.17

Or r = .852 R

Since the angular acceleration depends on both R and ω it seems that one can only get r as it depends on R

What disperses seeds?
elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]
The answer would be :People, animals, water & the wind.
The reason as to why these would be the answer is because the wind disperses seeds by blowing them through the air to different locations. The water washes the seed away to a location away from the parent. Animals disperse seeds, when they leave behind their waste and the seeds are in the waste. Lastly people disperse seeds in many ways, but one of them would be like throwing them into the grass, and ir planting them.

An earthquake is the shaking and trembling that results from the movement of rock beneath Earth's surface. Earthquakes most comm
Vladimir [108]

Answer:

See Explanation

Explanation:

Solution:-

Earthquakes happen when rock below the Earth's surface moves abruptly. Usually, the rock is moving along large cracks in Earth's crust called faults. Most earthquakes happen at or near the boundaries between Earth's tectonic plates because that's where there is usually a large concentration of faults. Some faults crack through the Earth because of the stress and strain of the moving plates. Other, large faults are the boundary between plates, such as the San Andreas Fault on the North American west coast.

Since earthquakes happen along faults and most faults are near plate boundaries, the yellow dots in the animation are found mostly at the boundaries between Earth's tectonic plates.

A subduction zone is the biggest crash scene on Earth. These boundaries mark the collision between two of the planet's tectonic plates. The plates are pieces of crust that slowly move across the planet's surface over millions of years.

Where two tectonic plates meet at a subduction zone, one bends and slides underneath the other, curving down into the mantle. (The mantle is the hotter layer under the crust.)

Tectonic plates can transport both continental crust and oceanic crust, or they may be made of only one kind of crust. Oceanic crust is denser than continental crust. At a subduction zone, the oceanic crust usually sinks into the mantle beneath lighter continental crust. (Sometimes, oceanic crust may grow so old and that dense that it collapses and spontaneously forms a subduction zone, scientists think.)

A +8.75 μC point charge is glued down on a horizontal frictionless table. It is tied to a -6.50 μC point charge by a light, nonc
lisov135 [29]

(a) The tension on the wire when the two charges have opposite signs is 383.5 N.

(b) The tension on the wire if both charges were negative is 3.640.25 N.

The given parameters;

  • <em>first charge, q₁ = 8.75 μC </em>
  • <em>second charge, q₂ = -6.5 μC  </em>
  • <em>electric field, E = 1.85 x 10⁸ N/C</em>
  • <em>distance between the two charges, r = 2.5 cm</em>

<em />

(a)

The attractive force between the charges is calculated as follows;

F_1 = \frac{kq_1q_2}{r^2} \\\\F_1 = \frac{(9\times 10^9) \times (8.75\times 10^{-6})\times (-6.5\times 10^{-6})}{(0.025)^2} \\\\F_1 = -819 \ N

The force on the negative charge due to the electric field is calculated as follows;

F_2 = Eq_2\\\\F_2 = (1.85 \times 10^8) \times (6.5 \times 10^{-6})\\\\F_2 = 1202.5 \ N

The tension on the wire is the resultant of the two forces and it is calculated as follows;

T = F_2 + F_1\\\\T = 1202.5 - 819\\\\T = 383.5 \ N

(b) when the two charges are negative

The repulsive force between the two charges is calculated as follows;

F_1 = \frac{kq_1q_2}{r^2} \\\\F_1 = \frac{(9\times 10^9) \times (-8.75\times 10^{-6})\times (-6.5\times 10^{-6})}{(0.025)^2} \\\\F_1 = 819 \ N

The force on the first negative charge due to the electric field is calculated as follows;

F_2 = Eq_1\\\\F_2 = (1.85 \times 10^8)\times (8.75 \times 10^{-6})\\\\F_2 = 1618.75 \ N

The force on the second negative charge due to the electric field is calculated as follows;

F_3 = Eq_2\\\\F_3 = (1.85 \times 10^8) \times (6.5 \times 10^{-6})\\\\F_3 = 1202.5 \ N

The tension on the wire is the resultant of the three forces and it is calculated as follows;

T= F_1 + F_2 + F_3\\\\T= 819 + 1618.75 + 1202.5\\\\T = 3,640.25 \ N
