Answer:

The gravitational force between these two objects is around F_{g}=6.674*10^{-11} N

Explanation:

The gravitational force can be written as:

F_{g}=G\frac{m_{1}m_{2}}{r^{2}}

Here:

  • G is the gravitational constant G = 6.674*10^{-11} m^{3}kg^{-1}s^{-2}
  • m(1) is the first mass
  • m(2) is the second mass
  • r is the distance between two bodies.

If we see, the gravitational constant is a very small number, therefore the gravitational force is representative just when we have to massive bodies. Let's suppose that the mass of the pencil is 0.1 kg and the eraser is 0.1 kg too, the distance between them would be around 10 cm or 0.1 m, for instance.

Now let's calculate the gravitational force of these two bodies.

F_{g}=G\frac{0.01*0.01}{0.1^{2}}

F_{g}=6.674*10^{-11} N

As we see it is very small force, so it is negligible relation to the earth gravitational force. That is why these two objects do not move towards each other.

I hope it helps you!

You decide to travel by car for your holiday visits this year. You leave early in the morning to avoid congestion on the roads.
Bond [772]

Answer:

d_t=266.918\ miles is the total distance of the trip travelled.

s_{avg}=54.7895\ mph is the average speed of the journey

Explanation:

Given:

  • duration of first interval, t_1=3.22\ hr
  • speed during the first interval, v_1=65.9\ mph
  • duration of stoppage, t_0=42.1\ min=0.7017\ hr
  • duration of second interval, t_2=0.95\ hr
  • speed during second interval, v_2=57.6\ mph

<u>Now the total distance travelled:</u>

\rm distance=speed\times time

d_t=v_2.t_2+v_1.t_1

d_t=57.6\times 0.95+65.9\times 3.22

d_t=266.918\ miles

<u>The average speed:</u>

\rm speed_{avg}=\frac{total\ distance}{total\ time\ taken}

s_{avg}=\frac{d_t}{(t_0+t_1+t_2)}

s_{avg}=\frac{266.918}{(0.7017+3.22+0.95)}

s_{avg}=54.7895\ mph

If an object is 16.76 cm in front of a convex mirror that has a focal length of 67.1 cm, how far behind the mirror will the imag
aniked [119]

F = focal lenght = 67.1 cm

u= distance between mirror and object = 16.76 cm

1/f = 1/v + 1/u

1/67.1 = -1/16.76 + 1/u

1/67.1 + 1/16.76 = 1/u

u = 13.41

A 5.6 MeV (kinetic energy) proton enters a 0.39 T field, in a plane perpendicular to the field. What is the radius of its path?
Kisachek [45]

Answer:

the radius of the protons path is r = 0.85 m.

Explanation:

the force due to magnetic fields lead to the cetripetal force, such that:

F = q×v×B = m×(v^2)/r

         q×B = m×v/r

then:

r = m×v/q×B

r = p/q×B

then, the kinetic energy of the proton:

K = 1/2×m×v^2 = p^2/(2×m)

q×B = \sqrt{2×m×K}/r

    r =  \sqrt{2×m×K}/(q×B)

      =  \sqrt{2×(1.67×10^-27)×(5.3×1.60×10^-13)}/(1.60×10^-19×0.39)

      = 0.85 m
