Answer:

Since I cannot see the data,  am trying my hardest. Check below for comments.

  • The Canadian border is 3 times larger, at around 5500 miles long.
  • The Southern border is more discussed. Possibly for immigration reasons. We do not have a whole lot of Canadians wanting to come here.
  • The Mexico border is more talked about in terms of guarding.
  • The Mexico bored is "highly defended"

a piece of clay with mass m is traveling with an unknown velocity in the positive x-direction, when it collides and sticks to a
Lyrx [107]

Answer:

5\ \text{m/s}

Explanation:

m_1 = Mass of clay = m

m_2 = Mass of block = 3m

u = Velocity of clay

v = Velocity of block = -3 m/s

v_c = Velocity of combined mass = -1 m/s

As mometum in the system is conserved we get

m_1u+m_2v=(m_1+m_2)v_c\\\Rightarrow u=\dfrac{(m_1+m_2)v_c-m_2v}{m_1}\\\Rightarrow u=\dfrac{(m+3m)\times -1-3m\times -3}{m}\\\Rightarrow u=\dfrac{5m}{5}\\\Rightarrow u=5\ \text{m/s}

The original velocity of the clay mass was 5\ \text{m/s}.

2. PART B: Which quote from the text best
puteri [66]

Answer:

B. The Salem episode was a historic landmark but by no means a rare example of behavior that  can afflict frightened, angry, or frustrated people" (Paragraph 13).

Explanation:

The article 'The Salem (and Other) Witch Hunt', is written by Mike Kubic. The article talks about various <em>witch hunts </em>that happened in history. The author remarks that though the Salem witch trials were a historic landmark, it also exemplified that when people are frustrated and frightened they tend to commit such heinous crimes.

The author also listed other <em>witch hunts </em>that occurred in the history of humanity, which includes the Holocaust, Japanese Americans into internment camps, etc.

Therefore, the correct answer is option B.
