Answer:

  A=300ml

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that

5% solution of dextrose sugar in water

20% solution of dextrose in

100 milliliters of distilled water water

Generally in mathematically solving we call A the amount of D20W added

Since 20% of dextrose is needed

       20 \%*100=20milliter

Total quantity after addition (100+x)

for DW5% total solution is

          5\% (100+A)= \frac{5}{100}(100+A)

          5\% (100+A) =5+0.05A

Mathematically

           5+0.05A =20

           5+0.05A =20-5

           A=\frac{15}{0.05}

           A=300ml

Therefore the required quantity A=300ml

P(A) = 0.14. P(B) = 0.24, and P(A and B) = 0.19. Find P(A given B). Round your
Ket [755]

Answer: The required probability is 0.79

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: P(A) = 0.14

P(B) = 0.24

P(A and B) = 0.19

To find:  P(A given B)

The conditional probability of an event A is the probability that the event will occur given the knowledge of an already occurred event B and is denoted by

P(A/B) or P(A \text { given } B) where the value of P(A/B)= \dfrac{P(A \text { and } B)}{P(B)}

So we have

P(A/B) = \dfrac{0.19}{0.24} \approx 0.79

Hence ,the required probability is 0.79

Solve the following system of equations by elimination: 2x + y = -1 3x - y = -9
lukranit [14]

Answer:

x = -2, y = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

2x + y = -1

3x - y = -9

2x + y + 3x - y = -1-9

5x = -10

x = -2

2(-2) + y =-1
