Answer: Emilio Aguinaldo led the Filipino people in the rebellion against the United States. The Filipinos used guerrilla warfare tactics against the United States. The Americans responded by putting people into “reconcentration camps” and treating civilians and soldiers alike.

So basically, they retaliated/rebelled.
