Should Gym class be required in school? Gym class should be required in school, due to students sometimes not being healthy enough to do simple tasks, because it helps your body, and because it gets you up and moving instead of being in a classroom all day! Some students say that it's not essential, but it should be! Gym class gets you up and moving, and can provide energy for your brain to learn! Did you know America is the country with the most body mass index out of all countries! Making gym required for them might help them, more than hurt them! Does your body hurt? Is it sometimes hard to breathe doing simple tasks? Is it hard to run? Well, that's because you are unfit! Taking a simple gym class daily can help improve your body so much that your heart will be stronger, you will be able to breathe better and live a healthier lifestyle! According to class room .com, "The risk of chronic disease later in life is decreased with physical activity. Students who participate in a gym or physical education class have increased learning and are more alert in the classroom. Immune function is increased and stress levels decrease after physical activity." This shows that to not develop chronic diseases later on in life, it is essential to take a gym class! It gets you moving, and doesn't just make you think better but live better! But that's not the only example of how gym class can help you! Gym class can also help you focus and relax! How does working out make you relax you may ask? Well, just think. If you are sitting behind a school desk all day, your body starts to ache and you may not focus that well! Well, gym class helps you get up and moving! It will help you focus, and set your mind to the task ahead of you! Gym class is an essential thing for life! So in conclusion, gym class should be required in schools... because it helps you focus, betters your body, and can reduce the risks of getting diseases later on in life! If you get up and get moving a little each day, you will be able to breathe better, your heart will start to beat better and you can even lose some weight- I know- lose weight right everybody wants to do that! If we simply make it so students have to take gym classes in all schools around us, we can better our country and world! So make gym class required in all schools in the world TODAY! Explanation: Hope this helps! :) Plz mark as brainliest!

what is the irony in this sentence: Sometimes you want to fall on your knees and thank God in heaven for all the poor news repor
Citrus2011 [14]

Answer:

Lily's comment about "poor news reporting" shows in a humorous way that in her childlike view of the world, the things that are happening to her personally are the most important; she still has the egocentric outlook that everything centers around herself. Her comment is ironic in that the reader knows that the events covered in the newspaper are important to the world at large, while her action is relatively insignificant when all is said and done, but Lily thinks it is the most important thing.

Lily has broken Rosaleen out of prison, and is trying to escape with her to safety. In her imagination, she fears that there are "wanted posters (in the post office) of (her) and Rosaleen," and that the newspapers are filled with details of her deed. When she gets a copy of the paper and spreads it out on the ground in an alley, she is surprised to find that it is

"full of Malcolm X, Saigon, the Beatles, tennis at Wimbledon, and a motel in Jackson, Mississippi, that closed down rather than accept Negro guests, but nothing about (her) and Rosaleen."

Not understanding that, in the greater scheme of things, her actions are insignificant, Lily blames the oversight on "poor news reporting. She says,

"Sometimes you want to fall on your knees and thank God in heaven for all the poor news reporting that goes on in the world" (Chapter 3).

Based on the text, tell your observations about the characters.
Mother/Writer
Son/Teenager
Elina [12.6K]

Answer:

Mother/Writer:

1. Disturbed over her son's new development at the age of thirteen.

2. Endeavored to punish her son when he misbehaves.

Son/Teenager:

1. Stubborn and disobedient to the mother

2. Lazy and dirty

3. Ready to withstand his mother

Explanation:

The above are my observations of the mother and son.

We see that the mother was not happy with who her son became. She experienced tough time in the hands of her thirteen years old son. The son, on the hand was disobedient and defiant. He was also lazy and unkempt. He was a son that was almost ready to withstand his mother. Whenever the mother punishes him for his misbehaviors, he feels like revenging the mother.

Her dialogue is unrealistic: As she herself pointed out once: ¨Dialogue is often preposterously unrealistic.¨
