<em>Who was the cause and </em><em>what</em><em> was </em><em>it?</em>

World War II divided Korea into a Communist, northern half and an American-occupied southern half, divided at the 38th parallel. The Korean War (1950-1953) began when the North Korean Communist army crossed the 38th Parallel and invaded non-Communist South Korea. It was fought between North Korea and the South Korea throughout the early part of the 1950s. ... Today, historians generally agree on several main causes of the Korean War, including: the spread of communism during the Cold War, American containment, and Japanese occupation of Korea during World War II. The effects of Korean war has divided Korea into North Korea and South Korea. Many Korean families were split with relatives on either sides of the border due to different kind of thoughts, either communism or non-communism. There were several casualties on both sides though the exact figure may never be known. Korean War, conflict between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) and the Republic of Korea (South Korea) in which at least 2.5 million persons lost their lives. The war reached international proportions in June 1950 when North Korea, supplied and advised by the Soviet Union, invaded the South.

Who won?

Neither side actually won the Korean War. In fact, the war goes on to this day, since the combatants never signed a peace treaty. South Korea did not even sign the Armistice agreement of July 27, 1953, and North Korea repudiated the armistice in 2013.

6. What was the significance of the voyages of Amerigo Vespucci?
torisob [31]

Answer:

I believe the answer is B.

Explanation:

Finding a Whole New World

Instead, this voyage actually took Vespucci along the coast of South America, but it is also the one that would eventually make him a famous man. When he realized that he was nowhere near Asia, he knew he had discovered a wholly new continent that lay between Asia and Europe. Since he had a keen knowledge of geography and was aware of its imperfections and inconsistencies, his sailing along the coast and careful observations allowed him to deduce that it was indeed a continent that had been unknown to Europe.
