Answer:

Look down!!

Explanation:

This article describes how manipulation can be used to change the thoughts of characters. It is also explained how to bring back characters after having lost them in an argument or fight.

In the article "Death and work", the author describes how focusing on death and a fear of death adds a unique style to a character. A man who is afraid of something is entrapped by that thing unless he overcomes it, and showing how a character gets over their fear can progress the plotline.

Hope this helps!!

The meaning of the sentence int he context of the witch trial is:

1. Intelligent people watching the trial could see that it was not going to work.

The words that support the meaning of the sentence are:

2. The more thinking Part of the Spectators

  • "A Witch Trial at Mount Holly" is a satire by Benjamin Franklin.
  • The story is fake and serves only to criticize faith based on superstitions and prejudice.
  • A man and a woman are accused of witchcraft. To make sure that they are guilty, they are placed in the water to drown.
  • They are not the only ones, however. Even innocent people are in the water in order to make sure that the trial is fair and the method of drowning works.
  • However, <u>no one sinks</u>. And, if everyone swims, that should mean <u>everyone is guilty</u>.
  • Intelligent people <u>who are watching it all happen can see that it is not going to work</u>. The way people are bound and placed in the water will allow all of them to swim.
  • With that, Franklin is basically saying that those responsible for the trial are not intelligent people.

Which is one way the author connects the readers to the past in "A Friend in Need"? She places historical events in a modern set
bazaltina [42]

Answer:

She uses dialogue that is true to the time period.

Explanation:

To complete this exercise, you have to<u> read the story "A friend in need" and then select the correct answer,</u> which is "she uses dialogue that is true to the time period" because when she starts telling the story about this man that she met once, she says the dialogues in a way that you feel like you are there although it was years ago.

For example:

<em>"Do you know Turner?" said Burton as I nodded a greeting. </em>

<em> "I've met him at the club. I'm told he's a remittance man."</em>
