Tyra wanted her dress muted with soft colors so that it would complement the vibrant surroundings.
adell [148]

Answer:

D. Barry was told to mute his hand motions when he was in front of the camera.

Explanation:

I'd have to say D because in the sentence given at the beginning of the question, the word "mute" is used as to tone down the color of her dress. So, we can tell that it's used to tone down on something. In the sentence in the last answer choice, he was told to mute his hand motions (used like to explain that he needs to tone down, or stop doing hand motions) while in front of the camera. We know it's not A, because mute in that sentence is used to describe someone who is silent, or does not talk. We know it's not B, because the word is used to describe Ashlee as speechless. And, we know it's not C because the word is used to describe the b in the word "numb" as silent.

Therefore, I believe the correct answer choice is D.

Which characters pose a threat to Launcelot's honor?
Gre4nikov [31]

Answer: Sir Tarquine and Morgan le Fay are the characters that posed a great threat to Launcelot's honor.

Explanation:

Morgan le Fay posed a threat because it would of been against his honor to follow the lewd request. This would of made him lose personal dignity and integrity.

Sir Tarquine posed the greatest threat to Launcelot. This is because Tarquine had his brother killed by Launcelot. For this, Tarquine put Launcelot's followers/men in jail and kept them imprisoned.

Background: England During the Regency Era
Reika [66]

Answer:

B

Explanation:

Gender roles were much different in early 19th Century England than they are today. since women did not have many rights or liberties and were forced to depend on men, it was always considered a sign of success to marry into a successful household.

Mrs. Bennet wants her daughter to marry the new neighbor because he is well off and she knows that her daughter will be financially secure with him and, therefore, happy.
