In a desperate attempt to avert war, the United States imposed an embargo on foreign trade. Jefferson regarded the embargo as an idealistic experiment--a moral alternative to war. He believed that economic coercion would convince Britain and France to respect America's neutral rights.

Explain how a map of the missions can be an example of the human-environment interaction.
Rom4ik [11]
Missions tended to be located near running rivers or larger streams. They also tended to choose areas with larger flat areas that would be good for farming. Farming was important as this would be one the main ways that the missionaries fed themselves and what they taught willing Native American converts. Missions appear during the time when we had to adapt and adjust to the environment around them. They didn't have the ability to adjust the environment to their needs.

How do you feel about race relation? Please, state your own opinion.
Snezhnost [94]
I think it's great. We are all people, why does the color of our skin matter? I am not a big believer of god, but I still do believe that we are all related in some way because it just makes since, I just believe that somewhere along the line some lost pigment while others gained. I am always kind to everyone and treat everyone with respect whether they are white, asian, black or any race, looks anything as long as they don't disrespect me. I don't believe color should matter, but rather the mind.
